Hola! Sorry for long MIA.
Today, I want to share something that I am extremely passionate about – Styling! (lol, dont we fashion bloggers do that daily) Now by Styling I don’t mean buying fancy clothes, wearing them once, as picked from that store and then giving them away. For me, the entire thrill of Styling lies in being able to use the same piece of garment in multiple ways, over and over again, mixing and matching them with various other pieces, layering them and giving them a new look each time…basically experimenting! Even more, if it is something that I have invested a good amount of money in or picked up on full price (lol, I love SALE), like this Summer floral dress which I bought from a Zara store in Madrid last Spring. Its a beautiful summer tunic and is best worn as a dress or a long shirt. However as it is now Fall in most parts of the World and its all about Fall looks, I decided to create 3 fall looks using this staple Summery dress and here’s what I created.
For the First Look, I created a dreamy silhouette using a layered tulle skirt underneath alongside some fur on the outside and brought them together with a belt. The concept of this look was more of a fairy tale princess that could still be worn by modern women. Grey hat and booties completed my look.

The second look was created keeping in mind the city girl who often has to run around in her most comfortable boots while keeping herself warm. Hence the look is kept simple with just an over-sized jacket throw in over the dress and clenched at the waist using a belt. A fur scarf to add that extra warmth and comfort, basic brown boots to run around and fuss free top knotted hair completes this look.

This third look, you must have guessed by now, is Gucci inspired. I believe in creating high end fashion using Style Steals (sic). Now Red and Greens have been a staple in the Gucci runway but unfortunately I didn’t have any of those colors to create this look and since the idea was to create with what I had instead of buying, I had to settle for this. Here I have worn a mesh dress from Zara underneath the floral dress, using a medallion belt (wish I had hose medallion earrings too) to give it some structure at the waist, paired my knee high sports socks cause of the green (:P) with these fiery white heels. Finished the look with a top knot (apart from the styling aspect, the top knot helps when in warm climates like Chennai) and added a pearl bracelet around as a hair accessory. I also tried the trademark Gucci poses with the bag hung around the neck (haha), only that it is not Gucci but Maiyet!

Which one is your favorite of the 3? Personally I had most fun creating look 3.
